Wedding Website
Finally! I have finished putting up the wedsite. I will try to update it as much as I could, but I think it's complete. Hehehehe. I put in small details such as rates of hotels and go-to places here in Davao. Whew! Please do try to visit and leave us messages. :) To view the wedsite, click "Visit our Wedding Website" at the upper right part of this page or simply click here.

Tick-tock!
Our wedding is fast approaching!!! So many things to do, I don't even know where to start! I have covered the save-the-dates, invites, cake, dresses, photos/video, church, coordinator. I will have separate entries for all of these, I swear! :) For now, I have to just breathe and relax. And color-code my to-do list with my trusty post-its. hehehe (OC much?!)
More posts soon, promise!!! :D

My DIY save-the-dates!
Since we started planning this wedding, I have been obsessed about save the date cards. At first my mom thought it was a complete waste of money. Rommel said it was a complete waste of time and that surely, people will remember when they get invited to a wedding. But I was insistent. The point of save the dates: to save the date! :) And it's a very subtle way of estimating how many guests will come (because most people do not rsvp [so rude!]). Hopefully my guests will rsvp, but that's for another post! :)
Save the dates come in many forms. From e-mails to ref magnets to whatever you can think of. Mine is a sticker I patterned from Martha Stewart Weddings. You can browse through her website and find lots of things you don't know you can make yourself. hehehehe :) Being a DIY junkie, I tried making one. And here is the result:

My take on Martha's stickers :)
Not bad eh? I thought so. I just bought round label stickers and printed our names and the date on it. Then I printed the message on a board type paper and cut out gift wrappers with nice prints to serve as inserts for the otherwise boring envelopes. Viola! My very own save the date stickers! :) Does it look easy? Well...not so! I made the monogram by myself then I had to do trial and error for the printing on the labels. It was hell! But when my mom saw it, she was really pleased. When a friend told her I had very nice and unique ideas, I can tell she was really proud. hehehehe :) Oh, by the way, I spent Php 879 for 120 cards! As opposed to spending P65 apiece for ref magnets or P25 apiece for professionally made date cards, making it by myself cost only about P7 apiece! That's a lot of savings! :) Of course it was a bit tiring but it was fun and worth it. :)

DIY
I have been VERY busy lately. I still have about 20 days left to finally finish this internship. Then I can continue my wedding preparations in peace. Haaaaay. I'm dreading my THREE Sunday duties at the ER. What was I thinking that time?! Grrrrr. No use crying over spilled milk. I don't want to complain coz I know it was my fault. Anyway, I wish it will be an uneventful Sunday.
On the wedding front, the favor boxes are proving to be a very difficult task. Can I make all 200 by myself? Whew! I hope when guests receive the wedding favors they will not cringe. Hehehe. I hand-made everything! I hope it will be appreciated. :)
I have been sending out save-the-dates to family friends first. Those of you who have not received yours, just wait a while. I will track all of you down ang hand your invites personally. :) heheheh. I promise I will post pictures soon. I still can't upload the photos coz I lost my phone's cord (lost in the sea of mess in my room! hahah!).
Updates soon! :)
